Below are a few topics I love to speak about, but I also love to minister to women and study my Bible, so if your group is looking for something with a specific theme, please contact me to see if I might be a good fit for your event. You can open our conversation, check availability, and discuss expenses by using the Contact Kim form on this site, or email me at KimErickson@LoveMyWord.com.
What others are saying:
“Kim’s ability to share her heart and her hurts while directing women to turn their hurts to Jesus is authentic and powerful. She really puts handles on how to encourage others that are hurting. I walked away from her talk feeling understood, loved, and equipped. I would highly recommend her as a speaker for your event.” ~ Angela Gifford, Women’s Ministry Lead, Real Life Ministries (www.reallifeministries.com)
“When Kim spoke for our annual Mother’s Who Lost Children event, she touched hurting women’s hearts and gave them hope with her authenticity, compassion, and the truth of God’s Word. Kim is a gifted communicator who has the ability to inspire women and equip them with God’s Word. Her deep love of God’s Word was evident. I look forward to inviting her back!” ~ Kathe Wunnenberg, Founder/President, Hopelifters Unlimited (www.Hopelifters.com)
- turn to the Bible as the source for answers to her questions and struggles;
- trust the promises God has made to her in His Word; and
- make time with God a top priority on her list of things to do each day.
The Voice of Truth ~ Think This, Not That ~ do you remember those dieting snippets, “Eat this, Not that!” in magazines? With all the negative self-talk we indulge in as women, I thought we needed “Think this, Not that!” snippets that were grounded in Biblical truths. This message is about changing your thoughts from negative patterns so pervasive in our culture to the Biblical thoughts the Lord has written about you and for you. We will look at the most common negative self-talk women encounter and replace it with Scripture that specifically addresses the origin or heart of the negative thought. We will replace unhealthy thoughts with a full diet of Truth!
Kick the Bucket ~ Live Now! So often we think “I could have …” or “I should have…” or “I wish I would have…?” I call this the “Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda Bucket.” My “Bucket” was one of those big, metal buckets, filled to the brim. It was so heavy, like lifting a bucket filled with rocks and sand. My Bucket was chained to my leg and I didn’t go anywhere without it. Since it was metal and heavy, it scrapped loudly everywhere I went. Until one day, the Lord asked me how long I was going to drag it around. Through His Word, the Lord showed me how to “Kick the Bucket” out of my life. This message will:
- take a hard look at the “Bucket” you might be carrying around;
- encourage honesty about your life’s regrets or lingering bitterness;
- show you how to put your “Bucket” down at the Cross; and
- give you practical ideas for leaving your “Bucket” behind for good!
