Who is ready to take just ONE step each day, for the next 40 days, to prepare for God’s plans? Our 40 day preparation starts today, October 1, and runs through November 9.
Before we begin, get your phone and add “PREPARE” as an event in your calendar for 15-30 minutes each day. Set a reminder that forces you to respond or it will drive you nuts.
There. Done. You did it. See how easy it was? Just one thing each day. Just 15-30 minutes each day to do SOMETHING that moves you closer to the dream in your heart and the plans God has for you.
What you should know is this: my family and friends are rolling on the ground right now in laughing fits! Did Kim, our Kim, just dare to tell others how easy it is to do just ONE thing toward a goal each day? Hahahahahahaha! That’s so funny! Hahahahaha!
Seriously. I am the biggest procrastinator on the planet. And, I do not like to start something that I cannot finish in one sitting. I hate that.
I think: why start something if I don’t have time to finish it? It would drive me crazy to have something just a little bit completed. I’ll just wait until tomorrow or sometime later this week when I have some time to do “quality” work.
One of my goals for the next 40 days is to break this habit of mine. For the next 40 days, I will take 15-30 minutes EACH day and accomplish just a little bit for God’s plans. Even if it drives me crazy.
Folks, if I can manage to take baby steps for the next 40 days, it will be a HUGE accomplishment for me. I hate baby steps. I like to leap, to jump, to run. Anyone else?
At this point, the desires to leap and run are ruining me. The desire to finish everything I start in one span of time is crushing me to a grinding halt, getting nothing accomplished at all.
That all stops. Today. If you are willing to join me on your own path of preparation for the next 40 days, or if you are willing to pray for the rest of us, will you please let me know by sending an email to me: kimerickson@LoveMyWord.com.
If you are willing to share, please leave a comment below to tell others what you are preparing for during these next 40 days. I want to pray for everyone on this journey by name and about God’s plans for you.
If you are not ready to share it with the social media world, please consider sending an email to me, and I will promise to keep your secret while I pray over you and God’s plans.
Let’s do this together! On your mark, get set…Go! (oh see how I love to run, to race ahead? Lord, help me to take little steps while I hold your hand!)
